Jennifer Lopez was born in 1969 in the Bronx New York to Puerto Rican parents. She has two siblings and spent most of her childhood in catholic schools. Jennifer took singing and dancing lessons until she was 19 which she paid for herself. After auditioning for many dancing gigs Jennifer finally landed a couple backup dancer positions for MTV's Yo MTV Raps and a New Kids on the Block music video, but she finally hit it big being a Fly Girl on "In Living Color" . She then broke into acting and finally pursued her passion of singing as well with her debut album "On the 6th" and then her follow up albums "J Lo", "This is me.. then" , "Rebirth" ,"Brave" and also a spanish language album. J Lo is also known for her engagement to Ben Affleck and her recent marriage and pregancy with current husband and long time love Marc Anthony.

Jennifer Lopez is said to be the richest Hispanic in Hollywood and also the most influential Hispanic entertainer.
